WELCOME

Here at Change & Thrive we want to help you welcome midlife with open arms & ENJOY it. It's time to throw away all the preconceptions and myths about midlife that you've heard over the years and learn what's really going on.

Did you know?

  • Men and women both experience midlife changes

  • Midlife is typically noted to occur between 40 and 60 years of age (in Western cultures)

  • It is an expected stage of adult development

  • The evidence for adults reporting the occurrence of a midlife crisis is between 10% and 20% (Lachman, 2015).

  • Not all psychological researchers believe in midlife crises (Dolberg & Ayalon, 2018)

  • Perimenopause can start around the age of 42, but may start earlier.

  • Symptoms may last up to 10 years. They continue until you hit menopause (1 year after your last menstrual period).
